PLAYING THE BACCARAT GAME – THE BASICS

Baccarat which is also known as Punto Banco is regularly played in a distinguished area in big casinos. The baccarat playing table is similar in size to craps table and includes 3 casino dealers along with twelve to fourteen players maximum.

There are 2 standard bets that can be made in baccarat – Player or Banker – Punto or Banco along with standoff which is used rarely. Several casinos allows players to use cards on turn basis and some casinos will have casino dealers for dealing with cards. The cards for baccarat games are automatically dealt with virtual dealers.

Every player in baccarat including the one who is dealing cards, can eight bet on Banco or Punto but for dealer they have to bet only on Banco. Players could opt that they need not deal and pass the move to subsequent player. The Shoe stays with any one of the players till the bank winds. If punto wins, the shoe is passed to next player.

2 hands will be dealt with and we should bet which one we shall win or which they should tie. It is is similar to placing bet for Red or Black at roulette, and payoff would be even money (1:1 other than standoff that pays 9-1 or 8-1). The major difference between Punto and Banco bets is that Banco winning can cost the players five percent tax commission which will be levied by casino which is predefined benefit.

The cause for taxing Banco is since it was established over 8-deck cards and Banco can win 3 to 4 hands more than Punto on average. Every hand contains at least 2 of the maximum 3 cards. The person who deals should put 2 cards face down or tucked below shoe and should offer the player who holds largest bet on Punto, with other 2 cards face down. The punto players could look at card and render them back to one who is dealing at present. Then player who deals must turn the cards when the casino dealer might show the winner and results.

In such a case that any of the hands which contains total of 9 or 8 (9 is highest) then they call it Natural after which no cards will be dealt. If it is not natural, then based on value of every hand it could be instructed by casino dealer to deal 3rd card by card dealer. This decision for dealing with 3rd card is based on set predefined rules which are set by all casinos. After dealing the hand which has highest count succeeds in the Baccarat game.
